Description

Fountain Square is a cultural district just southeast of Downtown Indianapolis. The neighborhood has a long history of commercial and cultural activity, dating back to the late 1800s. After a deep decline in the mid to late 20th Century brought on by highway construction and suburbanization, the neighborhood has come back with intense vibrance. Fountain Square has a large collection of restaurants, galleries, and public art. It also serves as an essential node of active transportation, with the IndyGo Red Line BRT and the Indianapolis Cultural Trail both running through its core.
