Monument Circle is the central node of Indianapolis, sitting at the crossroads of Meridian and Market Streets, just blocks away from iconic landmarks such as the Indiana State Capitol, the City Market, and Salesforce Tower. At the center, a brick-paved roundabout encircles the Indiana State Soldiers and Sailors Monument, a monument constructed in remembrance of Indiana’s contribution to the Union during the Civil War.
