Description

Broad Ripple is a booming cultural district in Indianapolis, home to galleries, shops, cafes, and restaurants straddling the Central Canal. The district is also known for its nightlife, with a large number of bars, late night spots, and the Vogue Theater. Previously a streetcar suburb, Broad Ripple was an independent village before being annexed by the City of Indianapolis in 1922. Broad Ripple is also a hub for transportation, with the IndyGo Red Line BRT, Monon Trail, and Central Canal Towpath trail.
