I had never seen or heard of Vesuvianite, before I found this cabachon. When I looked it up, I found It was first discovered within blocks or adjacent to lava on Mount Vesuvius, hence its name. I was drawn to the rare lime green color and crystal-y texture. I’m a sucker for unusual patterns and textures and this has both (the pattern is in monochromatic but still cool!) I have always loved peridot as well, especially paired with the deep purple of amethyst. So it was natural that I designed this necklace with these gemstones to highlight this gorgeous and rare pendant stone. The length of this beautiful necklace is 22 inches. I used Hill Tribe Silver beads and toggle to complete the design. Love these colors!!
