Textured and Enameled Copper Earrings

$44.00

I used a handmade texturing hammer to create a pattern on copper strips to create these dangly enameled earrings. Then I sprinkle on the pixie dust – I mean the enamel powder (ground translucent colored glass) and fire them one at a time with a torch. The torch heat fuses the enamel to red-hot copper creating a glassy effect over the marks. The firing of translucent enamels over textured, etched, or carved metal is known as base-taille enameling. There’s a nice depth to these enameled earrings, and they are lightweight and easy to wear. The color goes with so many outfits, too. Bonus: you will love the way they light up your face in a softly sunshiney way! Each pair is handmade so it slightly different.

1 7/8″ long from the top of the ear wires to the bottom of the dangle.
